Spaceship Earth is an instrumental project featuring the electric flute. It combines influences of film, progressive rock, electronic, modern classical and jazz, but is not bound by traditional structures. The album is a project comprised of improvisational pieces, which will be recorded and released as they are captured. The approach is simple: Go in the studio, mess with peddles, use interesting sounds to stimulate improvisation, and roll tape, so to speak. As improvisations occur, other more "developed"themes may be overdubbed. While the suite is primarily built around live performances, the studio will freely be used to enhance the experience. The music is best consumed with an open mind, good head phones and a dark, quiet space. It is intended to provide the listener with an escape, much like a good film.
